1998 Mystique barely takes fuel.

When i try to put gas in my car, i have to put it in at a trickle. It can take a very long time to fill my tank with 5-10 cent spurts of gasoline. Go too fast or too long and my car spits gas back at me. Sometimes it works great, and i can fill and go very quickly, but those days are rare.

It doesn't matter what station i go to, what the weather is, what season it is, if my car is on a wee bit of an incline, etc.

I really love my car, and i could really use some help getting this diagnosed and fixed.

Let me know if you're getting my messages. Filler hose recall or carbon filter

Thank you for your reply.

Do you perchance have a link about how to fix this? Not looking forward to another winter of standing in the cold for half an hour trying to fill my tank. :P
