hey, i was wondering if anybody could give me an answer to this in here. i have a 99 mystique, 173k on it, (My work causes me to drive up and down the east coast at least once a month) and just recently, all of my dash lights went out. the check engine, gas light, turn signals, headlight indicator, all still work, but the backlight for the speedometer and also the dials are all gone. i checked the fuses and the relays, even changed them, but it didn't have any affect. I'm hesitant to take it into a shop, because im not in one place long enough, and to stay somewhere would cost me in time. so, if anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated

If you know how to do it,it is a simple fix.

You have to take off the instrument cluster bezel/housing to access the instrument cluster. Underneath the top of the dash, above the steering wheel are 2 or 3 screws, behend the dash heater vents are also screws. Once you remove the bezel, you can access the instrument cluster. Remove the screws around the outside of the cluster and remove in one piece. The bulbs are located on the rear of the cluster, installed directly into the microboard. You can simply "untwist" the bulbs from the socket and install mew bulbs.

Hope this helps,

Lenny.
