My '98 Mystique died.
My beloved 1998 silver Mystique has died. I think she blew a head gasket, but i'm not a mechanic. The starter turns, but the motor doesn't even try to turn over and there's now an oil leak slow dripping underneath. I don't have the tools, knowledge or money to have her overhauled. I fear her ultimate fate is the junkyard and that makes me very sad. I love this car and i'd hate to see her rotting in some junkyard.
Someone mentioned that enthusiasts might be interested in buying and restoring her to her true glory. Is this even a thing for non-classic cars? My Mercury never got to see her 21'st birthday, so she's certainly not a classic.
