Hello everyone


I have a 98 Mercury Mystique with 115,000 miles. I took it to a transmision mechanic and he told me that my 2nd and 4th gears are burned out and they'll have to remove the entire trans to look into it further. My question is, are gears something that can me fixed within the transmission or will the entire thing have to be replaced?
