03-11 Grand Marquis vs Crown Vic Front Bumper Isolator
There are two big plastic crushable plastic absorbers "under" the bumper cover. One left one, right (6W3Z-17F798-A is RH and 6W3Z-17F799 is LH) This is a Ford part number. Both are DISCONTINUED. Does anyone know if the Crown Vic part can be fitted without too much trouble? Or where I might get aftermarket. My '06 only has 55k miles and no front end! The Crown Vic parts are 4W7Z-17F798-AA and 4W7Z-17F799-AA.
How about this? All the front plastic is gone. Can I just install ALL CROWN VIC totally bolt on? Thanks so much, Pernell. |
'06 Marquis Front Clip
A front clip from an '06 CrownVic should bolt right up.
Good luck ! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mer...8651b0bb5e.jpg Sleeping Beauty, Rolling Thunder |
03-11 Grand Marquis vs Crown Vic Front Bumper Isolator
Thanks. Best of my research says it'll fit too. I plan to report back in with results. Sure do hate having this car out of service ... It's just a good car to drive. It drives the way America is built. Big roads. Long distances. Two lanes and interstates, it goes. And all from a motor company that doesn't need government subsidies to survive. Thanks some more. Pernell.

Mercs are Cruisers
I like the way you think -- Those Mercurys are built for highway cruising -- by the company that didn't take any "bailouts' or "government handouts" because of mismangement.
The 95 MERC has been restored with long-distance, hi-speed cruising as an important feature, which we have enjoyed for many years. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mer...177a15f4d5.jpg 95 MERC at Flaming Gorge, Utah. US 191 at South end of the Gorge. |
