1986 Mercury Grand Marquis in Alberta
 

Hello, I just acquired a 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis LS.

It is a 5.8L 351 V8 with a carbeurator instead of EFI.

I joined this forum because I intend to do some work on it before I register it.

So far, I've discovered the following 'problems' with the vehicle:
- air in the brake lines
- trip odometer reset lever doesn't reset the trip odometer (feels like a disconnected cable?)
- the hazard lights stay on steady instead of blinking when the vehicle is not in park


Does anyone here have any automotive advice for helping maintain this most excellet automobile?

Oh, also there's an exhaust leak from under the hood...think it's a faulty rubber hose or something....
