i am able to see how many were produced, maybe how many with the V-8 option. i have a book here about American cars up to the year 1996 with all kinds of info, but not about all options such as that. as far as i know, headers were cast and not stainless unless aftermarket installed.

thanks for the reply I double checked my cougar and it does have tube headers on it.would a vin number help ?
