Help!!! I have a stinker(literally) of a problem with my 01 gran marquis. The check engine light came on and at the same time ,with the windows down,i had a very,very strong raw gas (fumes,i'm thinking) smell in the passenger compartment. It's been in the shop, but since it's an intermittent problem ,they could find nothing at all wrong....no leaks,and no evidence of leaks. Another shop performed a smoke test on the emmissions system and decided i needed a new gas tank and filler neck(i see no evidence of that. If anyone has had the same problem,i would appreciate a shout out.
