About once a month, my 2002 Sable with 67000 milesunexplainably runs very rough. and will not start. Last week, it occurred in a rural area, and I had it towed in to a reliable mechanic. It would not start, or go forward, but it would go backward. The Check engine light did not go on. After the 25 mile tow, the car ran ok again.


The only code the mechanic gets is a Cam sensor malfunction.After it was towed in,he has driven itfor 25 miles with no problem. Anyone had this same problem? Should Itrade it in, or what?It is under a powertrain warranty from Ford, but I am new to the area, and don't have a dealer I can trustEdited by: curtcr
