2003 Grand Marquis

No. There really is no such thing as a transmission tune up. You change the fluid, filter and gasket at most. Most people never change either. This certainly is in no way related to a freeze plug.

Find out where it's located and decide for yourself. Don't trust some half-wit mechanic.
