I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY 93 VILLAGER 6 CYL. I WAS DRIVING HOME AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED I THINK IT MIGHT BE THE FUEL PUMP I USED TO WORK ON CARS YEARS AGO NO I CANT BECAUSE OF MY DISABILTY DOSE THIS SOUND LIKE A FUEL PUMP PLEASE HELP ANNA

If it went chug-a-lug, burp, backfire like you just ran out of gas, then it''s probably the f. pump. If it just shut off instantly, it''s probably the crank sensor. Maybe even the cam sensor, but not as probable. Let me know. Later. Edited by: conan312

Anna, it is nice to here from you. yes it could be a fuel pump along with some other things. Can you tell me more about the car. does it turn over when you try to start it? atc. do you know if the battery did not just go dead? did the coil pack go out? there are a ton of things, I need to know more info. to help.

I am just asking, do you know if you ran out of gas? sometimes the fuel reading could be wrong
