I acquired a 2001 Mercury Marquis with only 16,000 miles on it. The car is in MINT condition. I've always wanted a Crown Vic or Mercury Marquis. I became familiar with these cars riding in cabs (Police Interceptors) and renting Crown Vics or the Mercury Maquis when on travel. Although the gas mileage is not that great, I'm in heaven, driving my dream car.

Glad this forum exists. I've pretty much got all the info I need for now (like how to find the keypad code).

sweet find. I'm amazed at the low miles. every land yacht owner I know uses them when they travel and the miles rack up quick (my 93 vic has somewhere around 180-190K miles on it - we have no clue how much is really on it since I had to rebuild the odometer and we went about a year without any mileage tracking). My 88 mgm is starting to get more and more use as I get it in better repair (need to do a true coolant flush) as the mileage starts to come up to near 20mpg (don't have the means to get the upgrades that 87_crown_vic has done to his gf's ride to get mid 20s, but I'm working on that).

Welcome and congrats on your dream car! You know it's 8 yrs. old and ain't even broken in yet! Very cool.
