the only way to know is if you do the math yourself using the trip-meter and how many gallons you put in the truck. Sometimes the computers don't work as well as you'd like with keeping track of mileage.
just reset the trip the next time you fill up and the next time after that divide the miles driven by the gallons put in and you should get a good ballpark figure. (should be plus or minus 1 or 2 for a single tank of regular driving... average 5 tanks to get a more accurate measure)
