I have a 2000 Mountineer and i was wondering if anyone has the same
vehicle. The reason i was asking was because i personally believe that
the suspension is to stiff. I want the ride to be smooth and soft. Is
there any way I can make the ride smoother? Springs, struts, shocks? Thanks for all your help!

Hey I have the same vehicle, in 2WD. Iunderstand what you mean about it being stiff. I assume when you are just driving down normal road conditions you will have lots of rattling and such? I do too, this is normal though. I'm almost certain if you go to an aftermarket parts dealer (no national chain names come to mind though) you can tell them you are looking for a softer ride and they should be able to sell you some springs that fix it. Do you have a problem where at high speeds (80mph+) it handles relatively well but bounces around in the lane alot? I'm trying to decide if I need just to buy some performance tires (I have Goodyear Wranglers on it right now) or if I need to actually upgrade the suspension. But I think the easiest way to get the ride you are looking for is to get some softer springs.
