New to the Board - TT V10 Grand Marquis

Hey guys I thought I would take a second to introduce myself... I am obviously new to the board and to be honest the reason I am joining is because I am preparing to sell a car that some of you may have seen or heard about - 1995 Twin-Turbo V10 Grand Marquis

I used to race quite a bit in a couple of Mustangs and then bought this car from a friend of mine that was one of two guys that previously owned the vehicle. The original owner and builder of the car is also a friend, but the owner immediately prior to me is the person that installed the turbo system.

This car is a lot of fun to drive and has been fun to own, but it is time for me to move on to some other things so I am going to sell it and thought it would be worth while to let some of the folks in the CV, Marquis, MM world know that it is available.

I don't have any recent pics of the car available quite yet, but will be working on them in the next week or so. However I have attached a pic of it in action from a couple of years ago.

Look forward to talking with everyone...

nice ride. I bet it would be out of my budget... but I'm interested anyhow. it does beg the question (in my mind at least)... When driven nicely on the road, what's the gas milage like? I would expect a day at the track would give gallons per mile or at least low single digit miles to the gallon.

Thanks... I am thinking somewhere around $8500 (make an offer) for it, but I am not real sure at this point. It is hard to place a price on something like this. I also have a SWA Airline voucher that one could use for travel to KC to pick it up or I would pay $250 towards shipping expense.

Here is some more info about it that I sent a friend:

1995 Grand Marquis

Remote Start / Alarm

XM Satellite Radio CD / MP3

Twin Turbo Triton V10

- 470+ RWHP
- approx 550 ft. lbs (not 100% sure on Torque)
- Custom tuned by MC Racing in Kansas City
- Has flip chip installed, but only one program
- Turbos are from a 1985 Turbo Coupe
- .63 Exhaust housing
- Turbos were rebuilt prior to install 3-yrs ago
- AEM Programmable Boost Controller
- Water / Air Intercooler
- Snow Performance Methanol Injection (http://www.snowperformance.net/product.php?pk=8)

- 42lb Injectors (Pump Gas)

Ford 4R70W Transmission
- Baumann Transmission Control http://www.becontrols.com/products/products.htm

3.73 gears

Best time is 11.74 at 116 MPH (many, many times) - I have not raced it since the new motor. I have only driven it as a daily driver, as I didn't want to mess with it.

I also replaced the "original" V10 about 18 months ago with a fresh '03 motor because the "original" spun a rod bearing after 160K of use. The current motor has about 60K on it and only 15K in this car.

As for gas milage it gets about 15MPG around the city. I have taken it on a couple of road trips and it achieved about 18MPG. It is a very reliable car, as the previous owner entered into Hot Rod Magazine's Drag Week and it ran without any issues.

the only other question that you may want to answer in your FAQ is whether it has cats on it for smog controlled areas like most major cities.
