Newb.....

Just saying "hey", I picked up a '93 Grand Marquis last week for a DD. I am looking to do a Flowmaster dual system once I get my tranny issues sorted out. Also debating on picking up some wheels in the future, thinking Mustang wheels if they fit.

I live in London, ON

Thanks, Tim

if i remember right, you will need spacers to be bolted on before the newer style mustang wheels. the wheel offset is different and wheels will be sunk in too far causing rubbing if your car has 15s on it now. not a bad looking aero body though.

Nice vehicle. And looks like it's loaded.

Tranny issue? Could be common, use the search function, you can find the facts (TSB's etc.).

Greetings!

generally with these trannys you check the fluid... if it's good, then you're probably needing the clutches to be replaced and/or torque converter. that's one of the first things that died on my wife's 93 vic. (the torque converter)

I have noticed that the check engine light is coming on when tranny is acting up.

have you tried doing a trans filter and fluid change? might have original stuff in there and filter might be dirty. dirty filter equals drop in trans pressure causing transmission issues almost like low trans fluid level. the earlier aero bodies i know had issues with the valvee guides going bad in them also, i dont really know much on the 4.6L since my cars have the 5.0L in them.
