1st post. Just acquired an 09 Grand Marquis in very good shape. Only problem so far is that the ignition key when inserted into trunk lock won't turn and open trunk. Not a big deal as trunk remote works as well as the release button in the driver's door. Any suggestions?

Your trunk won't unlock with the "Ignition" key because it takes a "Trunk Lock" key.
Your Merc originally came with 2 different keys.
It appears that the "Trunk Key" is missing.
Not to worry -- the only time you NEED the key to open the trunk is if the battery is completely dead.
