Help! 1995 Sable 3.0 runs great for about ten minutes after starting (cold engine) then will run a little rough for a few seconds, then stall. Happens while driving, while idling, sometimes it won't start after being parked, but always after about ten minutes after starting from a cold engine. Ignition control module has been replaced, battery has been replaced, battery cables cleaned, diagnostics from Firestone show no codes were stored ("check engine" light only flashes for a second when this happens, it doesn't stay on). Any ideas?

I think Im having the same exact problem. Sorry Im a newbie and I noticed sometimes particularly after driving for 20+ minutes Ill be at a stop light and when I left off the brake the car wont move. If I press down harder on the gas the transmission will catch and the car will make a loud noise like Im being hit from behind and go forward. Most mechanics say they cant help me because I cant duplicate the problem for them. I had the battery changed and that seemed to give the car more power but now its back to the normal underpowered feeling. Someone please help.

I think I'm having the same sort of problem. When I drive sometimes for about 20 minutes straight I'll getto a light and when I take my foot of the brake the car will just sit there. If I press down harder on the gas it feels like the transmission will finally catch and the car will slam forward. what I usually do is put the car in park and then restart it and its fine. Anyone have any suggestions. Most mechanics say they cant fix it becuase they cant simulate the problem.

I had a 89 Ford Taurus 3.0 not high output, I lived about one mile from
the first stop light, every day I had to keep my foot on the throttle
slightly when stopping the first time or it could stall. Other than
that it ran great, must be some miss calibration of the cold circuit
system that was inherent of the model. My Sable 98 24V has none of
those symptons.
