I have been told that these models have the a/c compressor mounted in a place that catches a lot of heat ,and the a/c will go warm. A friend told me about a shim ?? for the compressor that may solve the problem?? Anyone experience this.

never heard of such a thing. i think thatit would either throw off your belt alignment or the length of the belt. all compressors, on all carsare mounted in hot spots if you think about it. hopefully you just need a simple refridgerant recharge. good luck.
