My Sable's Duratec is getting on in age, but still runs good. I want to keep it because it has every option that was available plus some I had never seen. It was a government car driven by the #11 person in chargein CT. by way of themunicipal sticker inside the glove box that said "CT-11"as the governer being "CT-1". Anyhow, the car has a police package, CT. used Taurus's as cop cars for years before going back to Crown Vics. We even have Hemi Chargers on the interstates now. I guess the government cars are usually police packaged. 17 inch stock rims w/z-rated tires, 4-wheel disc, dual exhaust, power antenna and so many other things I had to buy it and sell my Taurus SHO. But now I want to find that wonderful Yamaha built engine (the 8-cyl.)and drop it in. I've seen pics of it done. Anyone have opinions or pointers? I have a lift at my disposal, but hate the idea of a front wheel drive engineswap and how hard it will be to stuff that transverse V-8 in there. I would like to do it right. No rigging stuff. Should I consider the V-6 Yamaha engine? Let me hear all your thoughts, good or bad. Thanks.

when you swap engines, you will need to have a computer for it also along with the wiring harness since going to a v8 will have 2 extra injector inputs and such. if you change the style engine from what you have... you will need to get a computer and harness unless you get an engine like what you have.
