How does the crankshaft pulley come off. I have it loose and is unscrewed from the crankshaft bolt. My delima is how does it come off. Looks like the motor will have to be pulled to do this. Not enough room between the motor and the fender. The book says this has to be removed in order to replace the alternator so there has to be a trick to getting it off without removing the engine completley. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ford shop manual shows timing chain replacement to be In-Vehicle Repair. Heroic DIY repair. Page 303-01B-40 - 45. Remove bolts RH/LH, tensioner same, tensioner arm same. Next remove RH/LH timing chain. RH, passenger side, is outside socket. LH inner. Last step is to remove the damper bolt and crankshaft sprockets. Doesn't show how or any device to secure the sprockets. Assumes sprockets need to be changed with new chains.
