I have a problem with my 97 3.0L (12valve) Sable. I put a new cam position sensor in (mine is like a distributer) I cannot get the ignition timing retarded back to 10 deg at idle. The timing light says 22 deg BTDC and the car pings like crazy. I have drained the computer to try and reset it but it never helps. Anybody else had this problem?
