Mercury Forum - Mercury Enthusiasts Forums - Airbag flashing error code 3-5

Hi,
This is my first post so i hope i am posting on the right board.
I have a '94 Sable and the airbag light on the dash occasionally flashes code 3-5 which I have established means there is either an open circuit or a low resistance on the passenger airbag circuit - thanks to this post (I assume the Sable has the same airbag assembly as the Marauder). The steering column has never been moved in the 10 years I’ve owned the car and the seats are also rarely moved.
I have checked under the passenger seat and there's nothing there - no wires, no sensors
Does anyone have any experience with fixing this particular problem?
