Changing stock stereo
 
Hi all, I just bought an '03 Sable and am considering getting rid of the stock CD player. Are there replacement face plates available? Or, is it part of all the other controls around it?

Alright, gonna bump this back to the top. I have since learned there is a faceplate available. I have however, disposed of the idea of replacing the receiver because the antenna is on the back fender and is wired through the harness, not like a standard coaxial antenna lead would be.
My reason for wanting to replace the unit is not due to not working or sound quality. These are fine for my immediate needs. My reason is due to crappy FM reception. Local stations constantly fade in and out. I have never in my life experienced this with any other vehicle or stereo set up! I have taken out all screws, plugs and the antenna leads and coated them with dielectric grease to eliminate a bad contact and replaced them. A little better but, not enough to be happy with.
Any suggestions others have done successfully will be considered.
