my dash is seperating above the speedometer , does anybody have the same problem, what is the best way to fix it

I think my Sable may be suffering from the same. Is the black trim that surrounds the gauge cluster starting to sag in the top center leaving a gap between that and the dash? If so, I''ve been meaning to try to find one in the bone yard. If not, I need more specific info. Let me know. Maybe a strong adhesive or epoxy with some sort of clamping or something with a little girth to weigh the two pieces back together. Let me know.

the best way to fix it is to get new parts or replacement parts from a used car. look online like ebay or search local junkyards online. No use to going out and looking this day and age when most inventory is all computer at junkyards now.


Or you can also purchase an epoxy like conan said. epoxy is cool because you can also drill it and shave off any excess. you can also make parts with epoxy and fill in large gaps.

I know Im answering this question way later than it was asked, but just in case anyone gets online searching around who has the same problem- heres my advice.
I had the same problem. The dash part right above the gauges lifted completely up. In the heat, the adhesive under the piece that lifted up basically melted.
It might sound dumb, but all I did was went out and bought a bottle of gorilla glue, and some clamps. I was careful to not apply too much gorilla glue because it does expand as it dries, a lot. It was tricky clamping it down because of the round shape, but I believe I used a piece of thin wood on the top and bottom to help balance the clamps down with.
Its now 3 years later and no problems.

I used some gorilla glue to re-tack the carpet in my trunk. it wasn''t staying up against the bumper side. it ain''t goin nowhere now!
