fuel door dont spring open

my fuel door dont spring open when i pull the lever inside or the one in the trunk.


is there a sping gone or what i can pull it open so im ok but this is a pain.

Most likely the latch is stuck,frozen or broken. The best way i could recommend is remember which side the gas door is hinged on and then use a mini screw driver on the other side and see if you can move the latch to open the door. Then check the latch from there

I never said i could not open it !


is there a spring missing or what?


im tring to fix it .

There is no spring missing. But there is definatly a screw loose!

well, if there is a spring missing (and I strongly suspect this is the case) it would actually be a black piece of spring steel which may have broken, because if you pop you trunk and use the manual fuel door release pull to keep the latch disengaged, and then you can pry it open with your fingernails or a small screwdriver, then it's the spring, you have several options, #1 you leave it the way it is and use the trunk method, #2 you replce the door (thats what it would take), #3 you can get a spring or some elastic material that isn't too stiff, and use an epoxy to glue it into place. Dunno if that'll help you, but good luck.
