Which of the computer boxes is responsible for the A/C not working?
|
Do you have automatic temperature control (electronic) or analong(switches)??
|
Ihave analong, not electronic switch: One time there was a problem with the box on the front driver side right next to the battery. thanks for your help |
Is it not blowing any air at all or just warm air?? |
by jumping the pressure switch on the accumulator the fan will turn on but not the compressor. By putting 12v directly to the compressor it will turn on, it seems to me, islike a relay or a diodein one of the on board computer. the meter reads voltage to the Ohhh men I've beenfighting with this for two years "Is comical" join the fun. help ok thanks

I dont believe the analog system runs through the on board computer on that vehicle. Your best chance and cheapest start is to replace the ac relay. |
FRIEND! where is the a/c relay at? I am used to the old gm style relay.
|
there is going to be a relay block either mounted to the left inner fender and on the right side near the firewall it should be in your owners manual.. our wiring diagrams only go back 10 years at dealers i know its in the owners manual though
|
thanks a whole lot sorry for the delay

I still don't know if it is not blowing at all or just warm air.(as mentioned before). Your compressor will not run if you are low on R134. If the fan runs in the cockpit, but no air,you are low on freon If neither the compressor or fan run, relay, fuse, regulator,or bad harness going to comp. Lenny. |
