Replacing Front Clip
 

My daughter had her 1995 Mercury Sable one week before she slid on the ice and hit a telephone pole. I paid the $95 and bought it back from the insurance company because the car was owned by an older lady and the car is in perfect condition. I have taken the pieces parts off and now I need to determine if I want to cut out the front cross member or bend it back. I found a good replacement at the local Pull-A-Part that is a close color match. I need your suggestions on what to do and how to do it.

The pictures show the front end before removal. The passenger side bumper support hole and looking down on the bent cross member.
