It's Summer, and it's time for motor racing at the big oval tracks !!
Back in the day, car companies used to do trick stuff to promote their brand.
The folks at MERCURY pulled off the greatest stunt in auto performance video history.
I would like to see this stunt performed again -- using the Crown Victoria Police Cruiser in factory trim.

Watch this video of The Mercury Endurance Test -- Mercury Owners can take pride in the fact that such a test of speed and endurance has
never been accomplished before or since -- by anyone, anywhere in the world.
I would like to see a modern version of this amazing feat -- using five (5) Crown Victoria Police Interceptors.
With today's modern synthetic lubricants and tire technology, the old record should fall.
But NOBODY will take on the challenge -- it's too expensive for the amount of publicity that could be gained, unless done with a car that's in current production.
