Hi, I'm new here and have never owned a Tracer before, though I'm fairly good at auto repairing.

I have a chance to get into a 1994 wagon cheap. The owner says it has a broken timing belt and needs nothing else. He claims it's a non-interference engine, so no damage was done when the belt went out.

Is that true, and how much of a job is it to replace the timing belt?

Thanks, Ray Mac.
