Anyone have the wiring color codes for a 93 tracer with premium sound system? I am fixing up a used LTS which did not have the stereo in it, only the connectors. TIA for any replies.

Its worse than I thought! Apparently the speakers are wired to the amplifier and the ford harness where you'd hook the radio up is a total mystery. I think I can figure out what parts of the ford harness should feed into the after market stereo, but figuring out what wires coming out of the radio to hook to the ford harness where it comes from the old ford radio and into the amplifier is a total mystery. If any one can help me figure it out or put me in touch with someone who can I would be most gratefulEdited by: dfreise

well red is usually POWER and black is ground.. thats not hard.. and theres a yellow wire.. for nonstop power.. u can cut the ford connector off and just wire the wires together but make sure theres a fuse from the battery to the power wires somewhere.. and hook the yellow and red together with the red (power wire from car) i jsut installed a new deck in my 93 tracer.. and then hook up ur gorund either to a ground wire or jsut take the gorund from the stereo and connect it to one the screws in the dash that hit metal.. after u connect the yellow and two reds you should have power to the deck. then there is a solid light blue wire.. this is the remote wire.. you are going to want this to goto ur amplifier. and youll need to run some rca wires from where the amp is going to be to the dash but the rest of the wires fomr the radio are all speaker wires.. jsut hook them up like there will be two of like 4 different colors and each one will have one solid color and one that is dashed with a dif color line or somehting.. jsut hook them up and u should be set. i'll see if i can find a diagram somewhere as well
