Hello. I have had repeated problems with the Villager and overheating. I have replaced the pump, Thermostat, and about a year ago I had to replace the radiator due to a leak. I am wondering if I have installed the thermostat in wrong. The engine does not overheat all the time, it seems to have a mind of its own. Can anyone describe how the thermostat should be installed properly? Thanks |
The coolant flows out of the engine at the point where the thermostat connects to the engine block. That means the spring portion should be placed inside the engine. Edited by: jspofford
