My 1995 villager has developed a hard start/stalling issue that only occurs when the engine has warmed up to operating temperature. During the hard start episodes, the engine does not seem to be getting any gas. I have replaced the following with the hopes of correcting the issue: 1) Fuel filter 2) Distributor cap and rotor 3) Spark plugs and wires 4) Ignition control module Once the car cools down, it runs fine until it warms up again. Anyone have any ideas? |
Sorry, I see your post is older, but in case this helps anyone else...
I had a similar issue ( https://www.mercuryforum.com/forum_p...D=1656&PN= 1) The local shop said this type of issue can be caused from the fuel pressure regulator going out. They said this is a very common problem. |
