It attaches the rear end to the chassis.
Its on a 1995 Mercury Cougar with the 4.6.
I went for an inspection and he just pointed to it and said "That needs to be replaced"
He didn't say what it was called so I don't know what its called O.o

it is a body mount bracet it is not hard to replace but it will take some time doing

I did it the easy way, patch welded the piece and put it back on the car.
The car is now junk, recently in an accident and I have to drive it until I can get money together and get something else.

Came out of the bank they weren't paying attention, I was driving on the road they came out I swerved they nailed the passenger door.
