Does not fit
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to squeeze a Ford 460 from a 1989 pick up truck into my 1960 Mercury Monterey. I bought the correct engine swap motor mounts, but when I went to put it in the oil pan hits the cross member before the motor mounts have a chance to sit flush onto the mounting plates. Where do I go from here? Do I space out the motor mounts with one inch thick steel plates? Can I redo the motor mounts so the engine sits an inch more forward? Is there another oil pan for the 460 made for this application?
I'm stuck and any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
