I new with mercury forum.

I just got 2002 mercury Cougar with 66,012 and my aunt gave me for free (she have alot car) so she didt drive since 2007 becaz she got rx-8 so i brought home last month on jan 2010 so I got new battary, fuel pump, fresh gas, fresh filter, and it still don't start or crank. When i got towel and put alot gas on it and i put on intake or thorth body and it start and run for 2 mins and shut down. what it it could be problem? please help me. all fuse look fine.

it does have enigne light on becaz exhaust loose but i really want to start it and i can't stand when car dont work.

Never mind i got car start and it been sit for 5 year and i got **** today and i put gas in eninge so it start and drive and fuel pump work too. thank.
