Default Code p0352

I am a new member. I bought a 97 Cougar , presently 70000miles . It started missing and got a code P0352 replaced the coils , new spark plug wires. The spark plugs have 12000miles . Found two vacuum leaks fixed it. Continuing getting the same code. Any idea what can be the problem. Thank you Roy

Atleast swap the plug with another cylinder, clear codes and see if the 0352 returns. If the code returns, I would start checking for a vacuum leak involving the intake manifold. Next, start looking at the wiring on the primary side of the ignition coil for the number two cylinder.
I know over a week has passed, if you fixed it, let us know what you found.

Thank you Raski for your input.
In my Thread I missed the word new I bought my Cougar new.
I took the new plugs and replaced with the old plugs I cleared the code it came back. I wanted to make sure which cylinder was not working . I disconnected each individual fuel injectors one by one. I found out the cylinder 5 was the one not working. Checked it gets power however it has no pulse it means a wiring problem from the computer to the fuel injector . Or the computer itself.

Monday I will try to look into it. I will post what I find out.

But if it is cylinder 5 why I do get code P 0352?

Thanks again Raski. This is an interesting problem. I will not give up

This has me wondering if the computer shut down the drive to the injector so that fuel is not dispensed into a cylinder which has a code for an electrical issue with the coil and is not firing.

Checked the wiring all Ok. Took the car to a shop to confirm the computer was faulty. Unfortunately they confirmed the computer has to be replaced . In the process of ordering one.

I would bet if the cover of that PCM were removed, you would find buldging and leaky capacitors. Could be repairable if the old one is available to you.
