i will try to explain this the best I can. I have a 1984 mercury cougar with a 5.0 and throttle body. I was replacing the throttle positioning sensor and as I was putting the new sensor on I ran into the problem. After I put the throttle position sensor on I tried to put on the piece that is between there and the idle screw adjuster. The piece between the idle screw adjuster and throttle position sensor has a spring piece. I need to know the name of that spring piece and if anyone knows where I can get it, because it fell somewhere down the engine and I can't find it. I have tried the mercury dealership, all auto stores, and like 4 auto salvages and no one has it and no one can tell me the name of the spring. Any help I would appreciate.
