I have a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis that I just put a brand new alternator and battery in but my battery light is still on and the car runs but it runs real sluggish when you dont step on the acclerator. Is their anybody that can tell me what I need to do in order to put it back on the road.

 

sounds like you need to heck your fusible links... that or possibly the ground wire went bad... wish i had more info and i could help more with this issue
