Clearing Oil Change Reminder?

I have a 2005 Mariner recently purchased used.

A message appears on the instrument cluster indicating time to change the engine oil. I already changed the oil 2 months ago. How do I clear that message permanently? Hitting the SET button only clears it for the current ride.

If you have traveled more than 3000 miles than it will continue to go on. After an oil change it will stay off for 2000 miles or so? What is the manuals procedure after an oil change?
