Is there somewhere I can find to decode the door jamb data plate on my 07 GM (not VIN - I want paint code, interior trim, axle, etc.).
I'm finding all kinds of stuff online about VIN but no luck on the door jamb data plate.
PS: Assuming GM is an acceptable abbreviation for Grand Marquis on here...

 

The easiest way (IMO) is to buy a WORKSHOP MANUAL/PARTS CATALOG on a CD. They are offered by many vendors but make sure it is marked FORD APPROVED to get a quality product.

I would give a source but an unsure of FORUM REGULATIONS as of yet.

 

Thanks. I ended up buying a hard copy set of shop manual and wiring diagrams. Much cheaper than buying a laptop for the CD (had 2, both died within a few years) and the big tower wasn't about to get hauled in and out of the garage.
