Hi everybody!

I bought a Mercury milan 2006 on yesterday 03/17 with 37560 miles, so its over the standard warranty. I got a ford extended warranty for $2500 which covers 4 years or 48000 miles but the bad thing is that it is being financed over the whole life of the contract.

I wanted to know if it is a good choice to get the extended warranty, how reliable can the Milan be? will I even use the extended warranty? and other question is if I still have time to cancel the extended warranty and get a full refund?

The extended warrenty is a crap shoot. Sometimes it can be a life saver or a fall back you may never use. I guess it depends on if it is costing you more a month than you are willing to spend. I would check for any bulleitins or recalls on your model year. As for canceling it, I'm guessing no but check with the dealer. Or one better, call an 800 Ford warranty hotline # if you can find one. If not, somewhere different than where you bought it to be sure there are no possibilities if they are to say no. Good luck.

 

hey thanks.well the payments are a little bit higher than what i expected. i read the ford extended warranty contract, it says i have 30 days to send a written notice to cancel it. I have to research more to sée if it is a good choice for the milan.
