Hello I have a 2006 Mercury Milan I was in a accident and the steering wheel airbag deployed.I am in the process of fixing and need to replacing the Airbag Control Module 7E53-14B321-BB... However when looking for used I noticed that the part numbers are different on some. Is there a way to tell if compatible? The one I am looking to install part number is 6E53-14B321-BJ

I am restrting this old post in hopes that someone has the answer. I am dealing with the same isue. I have a 2007 fusion se and the rcm I took out is the "7E53.." part number, but the good one I got to put back in is the "6...blah,blah" part number that you mentioned. Both part numbers are compatible with 2007 fusion. I'm just curious if it worked or not.
