I'm new to this forum and I'm trying to help my mother out with something. Unfortunately, I'm in AZ and she's in MI.

Here's the scoop; she has a 1999 Cougar that has developed a leak in the R&P. Replacement quote from a tire/auto shop in her area, including $70 for an alignment, is coming in at about $900 and some change to R&R.

Does that sound eccessive?

I told her to go to a place that specializes in steering instead.

Has anyone used Harry's Steering Gear in Fraser, MI? They seem like a better choice than some tire/auto shop.
