I'm replacing the Transmission Range sensor on my 1998 Mercury Sable V-6 DOHC.I read the replacing info at autozone and they talk of using a special tool.Do I really need this tool?If so where where can I find one? Thanks

 

Autozone might have the tool in their loaners. Almost every time I've ever heard of a special tool being required... it really is required.

 

What is the tool called? Do you know what part it is used to remove?
