hey guys, im wondering if the 1991-93 G/M came available with the 300hp interceptor engine?
everything i can find through google searches is either vague on the year or says its just the 190 and 210(?)hp engines.

the 91 still had the 302. 92 got the 4.6 but had a weird 4.6 for the first half of the model year (4.6 with an AOD). You generally want to avoid the first half of the 92 model year.

Now if you're talking actual year instead of model year, then you probably have all the info you can get already.

i should have asked differently... what im wondering is what year did the Grand Marquis get the 300HP police interceptor engine (or did it ever get it?)

i see in like 2004+ it had 240HP, but never came close to 300 ponies

 

I think some of the canadian police packages with the 351 might have been a 300HP setup. Not sure they're legal in California, but should be ok in the rest of the world. Those years would have been model years 1991 and older. Not sure when those started. I do know that my mom had a 79 2-door vic with the 351... that thing would past most things on the road (except a gas station).
