2006 LS refuses to start
I have a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis LS, it started to act like the neutral safety switch was going when I tried to start in park it would do nothing. I would have to put it in neutral and jiggle the shifter as I turned the ignition to get it to (sometimes) turn over. I ordered and installed a new neutral safety switch, a ignition starter switch, and a starter. The car still wont attempt to turn over. Any ideas?
Since you've replaced the big components, you should look at the shift linkage under the dash. There are two T30 Torx bolts at the base of the shift tube that frequently loosen up on these cars. If they are loose, the shifter won't actually pull the cable into the right position, even with a new switch. Crawl under there and tighten them up. Also, check the starter relay in the junction box under the hood. Swap it with a similar relay to see if it fires. Finally, make sure the digital transmission range sensor was aligned perfectly, as even a https://tropical-casino.com/ tiny offset will kill the signal.
