Installed a Spectre CAI and have been driving for several months with no issues. Noticeable hp increase as well as improved fuel consumption. My whip started sputtering real bad and kept shutting off while driving. Engine never kicked out a code and everything on social media was pointing towards a pressure sensor switch or fuel pump. Definitely sounded like it was a fuel issue. I even thought it might have been some bad gas.
popped the hood and noticed the filter had come loose and she was taking in too much air. It was just laying in the air box.
I know older cars like this don't have a MAF which is why it didn't kick out a code for the increased air intake. Secured the filter and she runs like a Champ. Popped it off again and the issue came right back. She stalled instantly. Hope this might help someone experiencing this similar issue.
