2008 grand marquis ls running bad pls help
So I'm having weird issues with my car it runs good as long as I don't step hard on the gas the second that I step on it even just enough to overcome someone it acts like it wants to stall and actually revs dow!! The second irelease the gas pedal it goes back to normal also if I drive it for a long period of time during hot summer days it stalls everywhere and acts like it has no power also I get a weirs smell like if I have been running it hard . This doesent happen during winter on cold weather it runs way way better . It has a code p0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor I have changed it already and still have the same problem anyone knows what's going on please help
I would start with the basics. Have you changed the fuel filter recently? I would also check fuel pressure on the rail, a failing fuel pump won't be able to deliver proper volume and pressure at peak engine demands. Finally, I would pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and see if there is raw fuel present there which would indicate a ruptured diaphram. I am a firm believer of diagnosing first and not go out and start replacing things (except for maintenance items) and hoping to get lucky.
