I have a 93 Grand Marquis. I have had it less than a year. The car is in excellent shape. I have an intermittent taillight problem.


I think it might be the switch.


Heres what it does. Some times when the headlights ar eon my taillights ar eout. I have brakelights no taillights.


Also the dash lights are on this circuit it seems. They flash and fade in and out and come back or stay off with the taillight problem.


Has anybody else seen this?


IM hoping its the light switch going out or a short somewhere in it.

if it comes and goes, i would assume that it is a bad ground or a wiring issue somewhere in the system...but i find it odd that it doesnt involve the headlights at all?

 

Found the problem. Headlight switch is bad. I can play with it and get the taillights on.
